To mark Pension Credit Week this year, we would like to make our customers and services users aware that you may be eligible for financial support.
Pension Credit tops-up your pension income and can help with your day-to-day living costs.
If you are over the State Pension age, you may be able to claim Pension Credit, even if you own your own home or have savings.
You may be eligible if your weekly income is £218.15, or £332.95 if you have a partner living with you – please note that the qualifying income level may be higher in some circumstances, however.
Our Income Manager, Tosin, said: “As a housing association, it is important for us to advise our residents and tenants on Pension Credit that you may be entitled to.”
“We ensure to focus on our tenants who are in this age bracket, so you can maximise this opportunity if you don’t already receive these benefits.”
People who claim Pension Credit may also be able to get:
- The Winter Fuel Payment and help with heating costs
- Help with rent and Council Tax
- A free TV Licence for those age 75 and over
- Help with the cost of NHS services, such as dental treatment, glasses an transport cost for hospital appointments
To check if you are eligible, please visit: gov.uk/pension-credit or call 0800 99 1234.
