Over the last month, we have seen the successful installation of the new intercom system in Topcliffe House.
The new intercom is more practical for residents as it allows them to answer doorbells from an app on their mobile phones.
This is especially useful as they are then able to see who is trying to enter the building and what for.
Tom Whitehouse, senior contracts manager, says “The security of our residents is extremely important to us and the response to the new system has been overwhelmingly positive.
We have already installed the new system at Chivenor House and will monitor the response to this pilot before rolling it out to other buildings in the future.”
Similarly, if residents are unable to access the building with their fobs, there is a number to call to be able to comfortably gain entry as staff can easily verify who is at the entrance.
As part of the new system, there will also be a digital noticeboard in the lobby where updates and important information will be shared regularly to keep residents updated and informed.
We have received lovely photos from one of our contractors, featuring a number of our satisfied residents, excited about the new system.
