Jonathan is currently the Longhurst Group Executive Director of Partnerships Care and Communities.

Between 2004 and 2015 he was Managing Director of the Birmingham-based Friendship Care and Housing which joined the Longhurst Group in 2006. He joined Friendship from Walsall City Challenge with previous experience in economic development and urban regeneration with various local authorities including Birmingham and Sandwell.

He is currently Chair of both Birmingham Social Housing Partnership (BSHP) and Vice Chair of the Housing Birmingham Multi Agency Committee. As Chair of BSHP he has recently joined the Birmingham Health and Wellbeing Board.

He is also Chair of Birmingham Voluntary Service Council, a member of the Birmingham HealthWatch Board and Chair of BRAP.
