Early Help means acting early to support a child, young person or their family as soon as a problem starts to appear. It can be needed at any point from pregnancy through to adulthood, and it applies to any challenge or need that can’t be managed or met on their own. This includes all children and young people with any type of need.
Our Early Help services gives children, young people and families timely support when challenges first arise, helping to stop problems from escalating. Our team works across Castle Vale, Erdington, and Sutton Coldfield. We focus on building resilience, offering practical and tailored support to suit each family’s needs.
We work closely with families, professionals and local communities to connect you to the right support. We’re here to help you manage life’s challenges and build on your strengths.
We can support you with:
simple guidance to help you manage financial challenges
help for children and young people with special education needs or disabilities (up to the age of 25)
practical tips to help build positive family dynamics
advice on giving young children the best start
emotional and practical support during difficult times
spotting concerns early and linking you with the right services
advice and signposting to helpful, local services
