Youth Services

Youth Services Youth Services

Our Youth team is here to give children and young people the chance to thrive close to home.

We offer a range of opportunities for those aged 8-16 years old, including:

  • After-school activities from 3:30pm-5:30pm
  • Physical activity, such as football at Castle Vale Stadium
  • Inclusive sessions

We also run inclusive sessions that involve our new Sensory room. It’s a calm, accessible space designed for everyone, especially those who are neurodivergent or living with disabilities. At the heart of the room is our incredible Omi Vista interactive projector. Turning the floor into a world of games, quizzes and soothing visuals, it’s loved by all ages.

Thanks to the amazing support of Nationwide Windows and Doors, and their social value work, the Sensory Room offers a peaceful space for creativity, relaxation and play.

Working with Partners

We work with a range of partners across Castle Vale and north Birmingham. This includes working with:

  • Local primary schools and Greenwood Academy, where we provide lunchtime activities and support pupils both in school and in the community.
  • The Community Environmental Trust and Minworth Paddle Club to provide training and opportunities for young people to experience paddle sports.

We are proud to be part of the StreetGames network. StreetGames is a UK charity, focused on bringing sports to young people’s doorsteps. As part of the network, we invest in using sport to engage young people and offer free football sessions at Castle Vale Stadium – helping more young people get active.

We are an anchor organisation for Sport Birmingham and continue to work closely with them to support their vision “To create a city where physical activity is the norm; inequalities are reduced; systems are changed to remove barriers; and sport and physical activity is accessible and integrated into daily life.”

Watch this space as we introduce new activities, including girls’ football, athletics and more, in 2026!
