Tracey Rilett

Tracey is a Retirement Living Manager at Black Country Housing Group, with almost 30 years’ experience across a range of housing roles since joining the organisation in 1998. She holds a CIH Level 5 qualification in Housing and brings a strong understanding of how regulatory requirements, risk management, and service assurance translate into day to day operational practice.

Through her extensive frontline and management experience in retirement living, Tracey has developed a keen awareness of key risks affecting housing services, including health and safety, safeguarding, service quality, and resident wellbeing. She understands the importance of robust governance, clear accountability, and effective assurance frameworks in supporting compliance and delivering safe, high quality services for customers.

As a trainee board member with The Pioneer Group, Tracey is motivated to strengthen her governance capability and contribute constructively to strategic discussions. She offers a practical, informed perspective that supports effective oversight, meaningful scrutiny, and decision making that is both risk aware and customer focused. Tracey is particularly interested in governance that reflects regulatory expectations while remaining firmly rooted in the lived experience and voices of residents.
