ASB Awareness Week: Introducing Our New App to Help Tackle ASB

01/07/26

Did you know this week is Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Awareness Week?

Taking place from Monday 29th June to Sunday 5th July, ASB Awareness Week shines a spotlight on the impact of ASB and encourages actions that help create safer, stronger communities across the UK.

ASB can have a serious effect on people’s day-to-day lives, from persistent noise nuisance and neighbour disputes to vandalism and harassment. Recent data from Resolve, the UK’s leading community safety experts, shows that:

  • 1 in 7 people say ASB has made them consider moving home.
  • 1 in 5 UK adults experience ASB at least once a fortnight.
  • 63% of victims and witnesses didn’t report ASB to the police, their council, housing provider, or any other agency – up from 56% in 2025.

This third statistic links back to one of the biggest challenges in tackling ASB effectively; gathering reliable evidence. However, we’re pleased to share a new digital app that is helping to change that, called The ASB App.

Introducing The ASB App

The ASB App is a digital platform designed to support housing providers and residents with reporting and investigating anti-social behaviour. It allows you to capture and submit evidence directly from your mobile phone, creating a simpler process for ASB cases.

How can I access the app?

After we’ve received an ASB complaint and opened a case, we’ll send you an invite to register on the app. You can then upload evidence as incidents take place. This allows us to review patterns of behaviour, and assess the level of support you need.

Along with the invite, we’ll send you an app policy and user guide, to help you navigate the app.

What can I do with the app?

Once you’ve downloaded and registered on the app, you can:

  • Record and upload noise nuisance recordings.
  • Submit photographs and videos.
  • Complete incident diary sheets.
  • Create a timeline of incidents.
  • Communicate with your Community Housing Officer.
  • Provide evidence that can support enforcement action or legal proceedings where appropriate.

The app’s approach focuses on the resident, empowering you to have an active role in the investigation process by submitting evidence immediately.

How does the new app support ASB cases?

With this simpler and streamlined process, the app will help us tackle ASB effectively through:

  • Faster collection of evidence.
  • Improved communication with complaints.
  • Better case records and audit trials.
  • Ability to identify recurring incidents and patterns.
  • More robust evidence to support warnings, tenancy enforcement, injunctions, or court action.

You can learn more about how we handle ASB and how you can contact us for any ASB-related questions or issues, via our dedicated ASB webpage.
